I have been dealing with several episodes of intences, none stop pain and stiffness in my neck, mid back, and left sholder for over 3 months. The pain centralizes around the top of my spine where my neck and back joint seems to be. It pops alot as I tilt up and down, left and right. The pain sometimes is only in the sholders, mosting hurting along my coller bone and under the sholder blade. As of now, its everywhere in those areas.
This has been effecting my work, as I have to take off sooner than usual and I make less money due to that. I don't have heath insurance, and money is too tight to be going to a clinic. I know there possible is free medical help, but I have yet to research it.
Here are some of the things I do to help the pain:
-Ice for several minutes at at time throughout the day.
-3 pills of 200mg Ibuprofen 2x a day. Usually in the afternoon and later after 10pm. This is when the pain is worse between these times.
-Exercise my neck with ROM as well as ROM with my sholder, however I think the pain is caused mostly by spinal inflammation and the nerves are pinched causing the pain in my sholder.
Some of my habbits:
- Sugar free soda's - Aspritame
- Driving - I use my left arm to drive.
- Playfullness with my g/f, though I have lighten up since this begain.
- Neti Pot - for my sinuses. The pain started shortly after beging a neti pot rutine. However I stoped for awhile, the pain when away, came back, then went away again. I started using the neti pot again a few days ago, and the pain shot back up again. I don't know if that could be causing it, but that is the only major connection I can find to this.
I haven't injured my back or neck, I don't work to hard, driving mainly(Delivery Driver) I have lightened up on sodas, drinking mainly surgar drinks now. The first time the pain started was after using a neti pot, the next time was after painting, and this time I was using a neti pot, but the pain started at work after drinking a powerade. I don't know if any of those things are related. Just giving any information to help.
If you have any idea, please let me know. I can't deal with the pain. It hurts so bad, and I need to work. I can't afford the bills we have as is...
