A few months ago I was initially diagnosed with SOD, sphincter of oddi dysfunction or biliary dyskenasia! I had a great doctor in the UK who did all the necessary tests and told me to return if the pain started to really affect my life. I have moved abroad and it has returned. I have tried Buscopan and back in the UK was on some very strong pain killers none of which seem to help! I need to get checked out and look into the possibility of a sphincterotomy or other more permanent treatment but wondered if anybody had any advice on what I could do in the meantime for the pain, pills, eating habits, herbal solutions?? I have been hospitalized with the pain on a couple of occasions and it is starting to get bad again. Many thanks for your suggestions!
