14 days ago my eyes started to itch and little, painful sores developed periorbital. They were painful first, opened up, and started crusting. Then my eyelids started to swell. I went to the doctor and they prescribed doxycycline, ophthalmic erythromycin, and 2 days later because of the swelling Methylprednisolone. The swelling is going down a little bit, but not as much as I expected. Now these sores dry out, and the skin around the eyes is scaly and itchy. I have never had cold sores, fever blisters, or any herpes infection....

What can this be???

Thank you
