Can you please tell me what this seems to be? Between Christmas and New Years, my squinting muscles started twitching fairly badly, but only when they were flexed at all. 3 days later, I discovered that my right muscle near my nostril would twitch like crazy when flexed, and if I push my nose up, it jumps around like a rabbit with a pose-able nose, like as if he were sniffing something!
I've been trying to not to use those muscles because it would cause my parents to become concerned. I'm hoping it goes away by itself, but just today, the same side of my throat is sore and my voice is hoarse. I can't eat something like a pretzel, it hurts.
I also need new glasses, my prescription got old a year ago max. These can cause spams of the muscles around the eyes, but the nose isn't explain, I've been purposely not squinting, and I don't think that explains my nose. My new glasses should be arriving this week.
What should I do? Symptoms point to a rare strep throat, but I'm not that sore yet, and my face doesn't hurt, so probably not unless spasms come first, cancer of the vocal cords (which I haven't been able to use very well lately), and a virus usually mistaken for strep that sometimes causes nerve damage, and an infection of the vocal cords, which doesn't explain my spasms.
The only disease that all my symptoms share is cancer! I don't want to talk through an electronic box up to a hole in my throat. What should I do? Go to my doctors if symptoms don't improve over three weeks or they get unbearable?
