Sore muscles.

I just joined NJROTC at my highschool. Over the summer they have a mini Boot Camp. I went for the past two days and the physical training is outrageous. I woke up this morning and was about to go there for the third day. But as I turned my body to get up, my quadracepts started to tense up really bad. I ended up staying home today because the pain is so bad, but I still need to go back tomorrow.

Does anyone have any tips for relieving sore muscles quickly?

  • Take a bath in Epsom salt (about a cup full). Epsom salt is available at pharmacies. It contains magnesium which relaxes sore muscles. It's cheap to buy.

  • I don't think ER is needed. You can get "Traumeel" at a health food store or a tube Arnica and apply liberally and/or take the homeopathic internally. There is another brand by Peaceful Mountain called "Sore Muscles". Hot apple cider vinegar bath (2-4 cups), too, can relieve the pain.
