MY SON,10 YEARS OLD HAS BEEN BACK AND FORTH TO THE E.R. EVERY WEEK SINCE THANKSGIVING, ALSO TO THE PEDIATRICIAN AND THE GI SPECIALIST. HIS SYMPTOMS ARE VOMITING, DIARRHEA, SOMETIMES CONSTIPATION, NO FEVER AND SOMETIMES SLIGHT DEHYDRATION.

WHEN I TAKE HIM TO THESE PLACES THE DIAGNOSIS IS ALWAYS GASTRITIS OR Gastroenteritis.

HE IS TUBE FED PEPTAMEN 1.5

NOW AROUND HIS MIC-KEY BUTTON IS WHITE CURD-SUBSTANCE,AND HE IS STILL VOMITING AND WELL JUST NOT HIMSELF.

I'M TIRED OF TRYING TO GET THE DOCTOR'S TO REALIZE SOMETHING IS WRONG AND IT IS NOT ME BEING OVERLY ZEALOUS.

THE PEDIATRICIAN'S NURSE TOLD ME YESTERDAY WHEN I CALLED

"WELL, HONESTLY WE DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VOMITING UNLESS THEY ARE COMPROMISED."

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OF WHAT THIS MAY BE I GIVE GREAT THANKS.

P.S., I AM SWITCHING DOCTORS

  • Glad to hear you are switching docs! Good for you! It sounds like he has yeast to me, systemically and around the GB. I dont know that it would cause the vomiting though..which HAS to be figured out. If he could handle secretions in his throat he wouldn't have a GB. How much more compromised do they need besides being a severe aspiration risk???? Please, find a new doc ASAP ! and be sure to update us. Thanks :( Many Blessings, Katherine

  • After A Long Fight With Doctors And Making Them Realize They Had To Stop Looking For The Obvious They Now Think He Has C. Diff(waiting For The Results) Which Seems To Be Obvious To Me At Least.
