Over the last few months I've had a number of uncomfortable bouts of a kind of indigestion-like sensation - like mild heartburn and the feeling that something is stuck in my throat - combined with a tingling in my mouth. Anti-acid tablets don't help and I'm a non-smoker so it can't be anything to do with tobacco. It seems to last for several weeks at a stretch then disappears again for another few weeks. There's no pain or difficulty in swallowing just discomfort and, of course, the worry as to what it might be.
