Hi I hope someone read this message and help me out,

I have a sister who have a strange thing on her back I can’t even explain what it is, at first was like a small point but now is a little larger and it’s growing hair, at first it didn’t hurt but is now causing pain to rest of her body and it pain terribly when she rest on her back, worst of all is it too close to her spine. We have seen several doctors but they said they have no idea what it is, and are afraid even to touch it, because as I said before is very close to her spine. we’re very concerned about this, I am attaching a picture with the hope that a good doctor who knows about this can attend.

I trust in God I'll get an answer soon.

Yours.

Hally.

  • You said your sister has seen a few Doctors but has she ever seen a dermatologist ? I think might be best for this complaintSamanthahttp://www.undiagnosedillness.org

  • well there has to be a doctor who will remove it; maybe a neurologist, then if not the dermatologist. I think it needs immediate attention. On the other hand, it could be like a splinter or metal filing that's lodged in there. Has it been x-rayed or biopsied? They could do a needle biopsy.

  • Thank you for your suggestion, we have already think on visiting a neurologist, I'm not doctor but I think a dermatologist can’t help because she said it have been causing her much pain. I think it needs immediate attention too but doctors always say they are scare to touch it because it’s too close to her spine. I will recommend her to get it x-rayed. Thank you very much.

  • I just remembered that splinters do not show up on x-rays due to wood; that they need ultrasound (I think)...for sure should see dermatologist asap.
