At this point I don't know what to do....I am 25 years old and for the past 8 months my life has been completely turned upside down. It all started back in August, I started episodes of extreme abdominal pain, It would be so bad that I couldn't move, I went to the ER multiple times, I had CT scans, ultrasounds and x-rays, they ruled out everything from appendictis to cancer, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometrosis two years ago so the ER doctors just told me that it was probably my endometrosis acting up and the pain was most likely radiating from my pelvis to my abdomen, they would give me morphine injections for the pain and then discharge me with a prescription for pain meds, then in September I got exceptionally ill for several days, I had a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and the strange abdominal pain, my blood pressure was also dangerously low (60/40, 50/20 and so on) my physican hospitalized me for a week and a half and I was seen by everyone (cardiologist, internist, gastro, even pysch) and the only diagnosis I ever got was that I had a "bout of ecoli bacteria in my urine" and that I "may possibly have Crohn's disease but they weren't sure" I was discharged with the same pain meds even though my symptoms hadn't improved. then about two weeks after I was discharged I began having dizzy spells where my head would begin to throb, I would get dizzy and within seconds I would blackout, the strangest thing is that when I would come out of the blackout I would have what seemed to be transient amnesia ( i would have no memory of anything that had taken place in the past few years), I would also seem to be in what my boyfriend called a "confused state" where I would say strange things and cry and ramble in a almost incoherent state; however within hours I would be fine (no pain, no dizziness and the amnesia would be gone) the worst part was that I also began to have mild seizures prior to blacking out. My fiancee' told me this one night in the ER when I woke up after an extremely difficult night where i had three of these "episodes" within two hours. I am a nurse and I was forced to quit my job because I had no idea when these episodes would occur and I couldn't put my patients at risk. I was sent to a neurologist who did multiple tests to rule out seizure disorders, tumors and other neuro disorders, so far they have yet to find anything. This has absolutely taken over my life and they seem to not know anything more then they did 8 months ago. I don't understand what is going on, other than the endometriosis I have been very healthy my entire life, I haven't been in any accidents or had any trauma that could have caused this, what is going on? What do I do now? Someone please help......Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
