I have this minor condition on my lower lip which developed after I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I bite my lower lip very hard in my sleep while I was still numb. I developed what simply appeared to be a bad case of chapped lips - the skin thickens then cracks and peels off. Severla layers come off at once so it leaves my lip raw and bleeding. It is only one 1/2 of my botton lip. I have been to so many Dr.s and have been on tons a scrips, but NOTHING helps. At the change of every season it gets worse. Winter and Summer are bad - not so bad in the Spring and Fall. I have been diagnosed with chilidis and possibly an allergy to the medals in my dental work. I have has this for approx 11 years and I'm at my witts end. PLEASE does anyone know what it is ?

  • Do you still bite your lip during your sleep? Have you been to an oral surgeon?
