Ok..so I posted this earlier

----"You want to know why no one knows or has answers to this and no cure...because these two are the result of multiple underlying issues.....keep reading"

Here is what I've gone through in a 3 year process without answers to the itching..but got answers to other issues.

I have had 15 years of sinusitis and nasal congestion issues starting in my mid 20s.
My weight started to rise in my early 30s. (I'm now 41)

Itching started around age 37. I started having this incredibly bad itching of my labia folds and it spread to the perineum and anal area and up to my tailbone.
By 40 It seemed to be creeping up on my torso and having general body itching. Some nights were taking a hot bath and sleeping with an ice pak between my legs.

My body started to feel like I was 90s years old..my legs were heavy and were sore every morning.
No energy. Breathing was like I was not getting enough oxygen.
My weight and body were bloating up unexplainably. (I was only eating 800 - 1000 calories a day maybe on a weekend if I went out I would go up to 1400 calories on a Saturday).

My Gyn tested for some yeast without having a yeast infection. I had some..but not cause of itching
Tested for gardnerella..but removed and was not the cause of itching.

AND this Itching was definitely DIFFERENT from a yeast infection. I only had about 3 in my life..and it is definitely a different kind of itch. This itch I had was like an electrical biting, like ants moving around and biting.

I was told by Gyn to go to an endocrinologist.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism..and have now been on synthroid for 10 months with BIG improvements to energy and my body size is shrinking. Less sore in the morning..

But that itching is still there as bad as it was 3 years ago...I told the endocrinologist about the itching..he gave me 180Mg of Fexofenadine (allegra) a Histamine blocker..and I had improvement. What the Allegra also helped was the sinus congestion. It starts working about a half hour after taking and lasts almost 24 hours.

It has been the only relief I've had....but I find it INTERESTING that it seems to be histamine related.
I was hoping it would be the hypothyroidism that would be the connection to the itching..but it wasn't.

So if this helps at all please post (and take about 180MG) for first dose at the time you have the itching.
When I itched it would start mostly in the evenings and last hours. (and the time of the month -about 2 weeks before my period it would start to climb and get worse) - I noticed. You should also keep a calendar and rate the level of itching.
