hey I'm 17 years old and i feel as though i have so many things wrong with me- I get really bad headaches, nose bleeds for no reason, rash, my hair falls out, i'm always dizzy, tired, hungry, i dont sleep well at night and lately i've noticed i have a hard bump on my bone, under the skin of my right middle finger near the joint. i've told my mum and she doesn't seem to care she just makes jokes like "you are always dizzy coz you watch tv". i am really scared to go to the doctors incase something is really wrong.

  • Hi Hannah, some of this sounds like it may be stress related, especially the hair loss, insomnia and skin condidtion. Are you worried about anything? It could also be related to a weak immune system, try and make sure your diet is balanced, and that you try and get enough rest. Similary, if you are not getting enough excercise, if you suddenly get up, this could be giving you a head rush. Try to breath deeply, and move around at frequent intervals. I am no doctor however, so you should get this checked out by your gp, just to put your mind at rest. Hope you feel better soon.

  • hi chicken, Im lisa from ireland. i really recommend going to a doctor and letting them know whats going on with you. i would rather know what was wrong so i can go about getting well as soon as possible rather than not getting mysel looked at, growing steadily worse only to find out that there's nothing they can do for me cuz its too late. be brave, and youll thank yourself!

  • Hi HannahI agree with Blondie that some of your symptoms sound stress related. Worry and stress in our lives can take a "serious" toll on our bodies. Being fearful of going to a physician and your Mom not taking you seriously just adds to your stress level. You could have some blood pressure problems which might be reconciled with a change in diet and learning to cope with stress. Don't be afraid of seeking medical attention, your symptoms need to be evaluated by a professional. Be up front with your Mom and ask her to please make you an appointment.Good Luck:)
