So Many Symptoms

I have been suffering my entire life with the following symptoms: Anxiety, Diarrhea (daily), dizziness, throat constriction, difficulty swallowing, panic attacks, difficulty gaining/maintaining weight. After finally bringing myself to a slew of doctors - family doctor, gastroenterologist, internal medicine, endocrinologist, etc. and undergoing a myriad of blood tests, I have diagnosed with the following: Hypoglycemia, sub-clinical Hypothryoidism, general anxiety, IBS, and a rare possibliblity of Celiacs Disease (not yet tested). All typical tests have been run for my blood tests.

My father has pretty much the same symptons except for any gastrointestinal issues and has been on anti-depression and anxiety medicines his entire life. He actually has mild hypERthryoidism. My sister has Type I Diabetes.

I have am now on Synthroid (small doses) and Zoloft, and have also been taking Magnesium supplements that were really helping initially, but sometimes also make me feel much worse. I have also tried Kelp and Protein supplements.

I don't know what to do - none of these things are helping me and it seems the doctos are all turning me in the opposite direction. No one can tell me what is wrong and it has been seriously affecting my work and personal life. I have had a few serious anxiety attacks that either leave me paralyzed on the floor, or I run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Everything is so extreme, and no doctors are able to provide answers. I have had to deal with this my entire life, but for the past year or so it has been EXTREME to the point where I am missing work all the time to go to the doctor. I am a male in my mid 20s without any history of other diseases or conditions.

Please help!!

  • My experience with the thyroid has been just that. Zolofts effects can not be judged until you have been on them for 6 weeks. synthroid takes some time too your body must get used to it

  • I have only been on the Zoloft for a few weeks. I started off on Attivan a few months ago and then switched to Paxil, which made me REALLY sick. However, I have not been experiencing any new symptoms since taking the zoloft....I have only been taking the Synthroid since around July.

  • Find a good Naturopath, break the bad drugs and bad health cycle. You can do it! Put your zip code to find a Naturopath in your area:

  • I had ALL of your symptoms and many many more. The only help I found was here in this forum when someone recommended NAET or Bioset therapy. I went. I am now no longer ill. No kidding... be well, mommy cat
