I am 37, female. I have COPD but it is under control, I stopped smoking 1 year ago. I feel worse now than I did then. I got a virus a few months back, tierd, cough, head congestion, sore throat. I also had 2 circle rashes on breast doc gave antibiotics for. I now have a circle rash on my thigh. I have been extremely tierd since the virus. People think I am being lazy or that im depressed. I am not i want to go do things and I make myself get out of bed and do them but I will yawn constintly will being active and back in bed I go. I have had numbness on finger tips but not often and my lip twicthes uncotrolabley but not often. I often feel week and out of breath. I don't know where to turn. I feel like a 37 year old in a 80 year olds body

  • It could be several things. What meds are you on?Have you had any recent bloodwork? You need to be sure that you're not anemic and that your thyroid is not underactive.

  • not sure if I did this right? I am on meds for blood pressure, and inhallers for copd, but none of them made me sleep before. I had blood work done everything was fine. I thought of asking for a lyme test but I do not have joint pain.

  • Please describe the rashes - are they itchy? Do they ooze or bleed? How large are they? Did you get any diagnosis for the rashes? A lyme test would be a good idea, even without joint pain. My friend was diagnosed with chronic fatigue back in the late 80's and took ten more years of ***l before she was diagnosed with Lyme. She only had extreme fatique at the beginning. Find a Lyme literate doc. I've heard lymenet is a good resource. Best wishesDOM

  • Beside the other medical questions the guys asked u, I'd ask how's your regime? Is it echilibrated (eg. excess meat, excess vegetables)...

  • I was tested for blood count, thyroid and tons of ohter things. The rash is a circle that starts out icthy then gets red pimple like bumps in a circle and dark in the middle, when I had them on my breast antibiotic took them away. I am on albututerol, spirivia, and lisinopril 10 mg. I have always been a active person until I was told I started having breathing problems. Since I stopped smokeing I have gainned weight. my diet is fair, I eat junk but I eat 3 cooked meals not boxed. I wheeze almost all the time and was told that is the chronic broncitis. I will look into Lyme, I do live in the woods. Thank You

  • Hi. Did the doctor tell you what your rash was called? Do you remember what medicine you took for it? Did you take a single dose of medicine or maybe medicine for a few weeks (If you know the name of the med, that would help.) What part of the country (in general) do you live? How did you come down with the viral illness a few months ago? How long did you smoke? Thanks.

  • I hope it is just the meds. but I was not tierd before on them. I live in maryland and I smoked for 22 years I was a heavy smoker as all my family.I had a cat scan that showed mild emphysema, but was told all the out of breath and wheezing is chronic broncitis copd. The meds for rash was Cephalexin 500 mg 1 capsule 3 x's a day for 10 days. When I got the virus I was so tierd I stayed in bed for 3 days with a cough, sore throat, head congestion, chills and weakness. I feel like I never got over the weakness and tierdness.

  • Thank You for all the replys I feel like my doctor thinks I'm crazy and I know how I feel. I was always a active person and now I hate getting out of bed. When I do make myself go for the day I yawn all day and push myself. I want to be active again I go today for a treadmill test since heart problems run in the family and to make sure the still being out of breath is from the copd not something else. I the rash is from the inside out I think with the way it looks it is not dry, or puss filled just pimple like red bumps in a circle with darkend skin in the middle rash is about 1 1/2 inches round. I thought of ring worm but it was not when My breast rash was checked. I will read up on my meds and there side effects:)

  • i doubt at this point that it would be the following.. but iif it continues and f you get more symptoms and everything else gets ruled out..consider chronic fatigue syndrome at that point. It can cause various kinds of rashes and is often triggered by a virus. right now dont worry about this but put away what ive said for future referance if needed.
