skull noises

This is certainly trivial but a little concerning all the same. Recently I've been getting 'tinging' noises when eating or tapping my teeth together. It's not tinnitus - I have had that for years. It's if the bones in my skull are banging together when my jaw impacts on solid foods like nuts. Today it happened when I went for a walk - with most steps - and when I cough.

I know my head isn't going to explode, but any ideas please?
