Hello I'm in need of some help. For a couple of weeks around 3 to 4 to be exact I've developed a rash on my chest mostly in the middle. Then a few days later it spread to my armpits and has been itching mainly under my armpits. It usually itches after I get out of the shower or if it's irritated in anyway. Then I got a closer look today and found that under my right armpit there is a big blotchy spot of redness and around both armpits tiny little red dots that itch. And tiny red dots that itch sometimes on my chest. I think there might be a few here or there other places but I don't know. Hopefully that was clear enough.

  • Did you go to the drs?? Could be a tick bite, you don't have to have pets for that to happen. Have a dr see it and get tested for Lyme and Tick born illnesses. Good luck

  • No I haven't gone to see a doctor yet, but I highly doubt it's a tick bite because I feel fine, not physically sick in anyway. It's just that it itches a lot these past couple of days and seems irritated when I shower or don't put some type of cream on it.

  • I might be going way out on a limb here, but does the rash look like it could be poison ivy?

  • Nope defidently not poison ivy, but now that I'm thinking of it, it might be prickly heat. Only because all the symptoms match there is no fever and I'm not sick. But, the only thing that contrast this would be that I've had it for I'd say at least 3 weeks now. Is it possible to have heat rash that long, and I'm not sweating a lot since then. I'm keeping for the most part dry and cool and haven't really done much exercising to stimulate it.

  • Hi I was wondering if you ever found out what your skin rash was?? My boyfriend has the same thing and the doctor keeps diagnosing it as folliculitis but nothing they give him clears it up. It helps somewhat but it's been lingering. Please email at jerinjewels@aol.com and send a picture of it.
