Hello, everyone! I am coming to you for a skin bump that won't leave my finger, and so far, nobody knows what it is.
It started last Monday, when I noticed a small bump on my left index finger. I asked my mom about it, and she said it was a bug bite (as I had only about two on there). The next day, there were about four bumps (including my index finger), and they were large and red. Again, I brushed it off.
By the time it was Friday of last week, I had about 18 red bumps localized to my hands, fingers, and upper arms. They just keep multiplying, and I don't know what it is.
OK, the bumps, when they're new, tend to look like large, red, raised pimples that occasionally itch or sting. The ones that go away tend to become small, red, and painful dots. The bump that really won't leave, however, is different. At its peak, it's red, with a white center or pink with a red center, and it's about as large as a small eraser (estimate). It can feel rough at best, and it may sting, but otherwise, it doesn't hurt. It will go down at night, but the bump will come back again in the morning. It gets better with hydrocortizone sometimes, but it never completely goes away. It's the one on my index finger...meaning, it's been there for two whole weeks.
I went to the doctor, and, since she hasn't really seen something like this (she thought it was scabies, a mosquito bite, or a tick until I told her it didn't itch, and I haven't been outside all those weeks), she prescribed some creams. They don't work at all.
I don't know if it's cancer or what, but even though it probably isn't serious, and that bump seems to be the only symptom, I want to know what this is, and I want that stupid bump to leave my fingers.
