in the late 80's early 90's i served in bosnia. Lots of combat. Now keep hearing gun fire., people screaming, smell of people who have been killed, afraid all the time. what do i do??

  • Please do not ignore the post before me. The ONLY way to deal with PTSD is with professional help. A combination of counseling and medications is very successful. And until you deal with this nightmare, please make sure your fire arms are secure. There are documented cases where someone suffering has truly believed that a loved one was an enemy and severely injured or killed them.   • Yes, Please seek help. It may help to know that often people don't experience these symptoms until they are internally ready to leave them behind. It is like your body is trying to tell you it is ready to move on.9 years ago I experienced similar symptoms. It was so real and I couldn't stop it. Medication and therapy was where i started, then just therapy, now just me. I will pray for your peace. God bless you. Thank you for your sacrifice.
