Every month for the last few months I have been feeling very ill from the time my period stops till the time I ovulate. I get chills, body aches, headaches, swollen stomach (feels like my ovaries are bowling balls), nausia (bad) and light headedness, vision changes (blurry). It seems to subside right after ovulation occurs. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis last year though laporoscopy and earlier that year had a LEEP due to severe cervical dysplasia. I have been trying to conceive for three years with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas as to why I would feel really sick during this time of each month? I am 28 years old by the way and have been married for 4 years.....

Thanks for any ideas,
Stacky:(

  • Well, at ovulation both progesterone and estrogen are quite high, it is possible that you are very sensitive at this time...I had a time getting pregnant as well. If you have not done so, get your THRYOID checked....it was a problem for me and one of the reasons I was having trouble...it can also cause some of the symtpoms you mentioned. For thryoid, be sure to get ALL these tests: FT4, FT3, TSH and the test for the autoimmune disease of the thryoid Graves Disease and Hashimotos disease...do NOT just get TSH as doctor May recommend...since you are trying to get pregnant do get a thorough picture of what may be going on with the thryoid. If you do have a problem, don't worry, many, many women with thryoid problems, once helped with meds, get pregnant...and more than once! My sister, friend, neighbor and I did! Do you have a good GYN that specializes in pregnancy issues? It seems the endometriosis can be a stumbling block....make sure you are under a doctor's care for conceiving....lots of good help out there for this.....I was greatly helped and now have a wonderful daughter...I truely understand how you feel....I waited quite a while for my child!
