I have been ill for almost a year. I have seen 24 doctors, practioners, chiropractors etc.so far. My symptoms are fatigue, dizziness, blurred vision, nerve pain/numbness (arms and legs with tingling), reflux/gerd, recurrent sinus infections, poor circulation, memory issues, depression, nausea, constipation and kidney stones. I am down to eating one meal a day. It makes me so sick I sleep for a while after eating.
My calcium in the blood has been up and down with the highest being 10.7. My PTH has been up and down all year but not consistently with the high at 97.8 and low at 59. My phosphorus (2.3), vitamin d (15 to (33-In October) and potassium has been borderline low (3.4). A 24 hr urine also showed that I am not making very much citrate.
A MRI of the brain showed mild microvascular ishemic changes. I also have issues with my C1 and C2 that may not be associated.
So far the doctors can offer no answers and I continue to get sicker. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have already been to see a Parathyroid specialist. He told me that he did not feel there was a tumor and not to pursue that route again.

  • Did the Parathyroid doc check you for MEN? It is typically an inherited disease. My mother has it and she has a lot of the symptoms you have. The calcium and pth levels are especially red flags. MEN is pretty rare so this may be a long shot but like I said, your symptoms are similar.
