My doctor just pats me on the head. Says all my symptoms are just the result of stress. I am stressed by the symptoms not the reverse. Short list and history:
Problems started about 6 years ago...when I stopped taking Clonazapam. This is a medication for anxiety but I did not have anxiety until I started taking the pills for mild depression. Doctor had me on it for 3 years....which I now know is bad.
The the terrible side effects of coming off of clonazapam are too numerous to list but the problems that seem to persist are:
-Sleeping problems including insomnia
-Joint / connective tissue pain
-Constant mouth problems including canker sores, dry mouth, very sore tongue, dry and sore throat, sore around tonsils
-Always tired and cannot do anything that tires me out such as hiking or other physical activities or staying up later then 10pm...my body litterally shuts down and I am sick and exhausted for at least a week
-Never have a solid bowel movement
-Lungs always feel tight, congested, takes effort to breath
- Have low grade tension all the time
- I have lowish blood pressure, low cholesterol, don't smoke, don't drink coffee or alcohol, exercise daily as much as possible, eat very healthy whole foods diet, meditate, focus on gratitude, but that doesn't seem to help.
- blood tests (just general panals) always come back normal except some inflamation noted, iron on the low side but not anemic, thiroid on higher side but within current parameters.
- I've spent thousands on different alternative solutions from naturopaths, homeopaths, acupuncture, etc. with no luck.
Like many I am frustrated and losing hope that I'll ever feel healthy again. Any suggestions welcome.
