I had bleeding ulcer in 1998 and was hospitalized. I was diagnosed with gastritis and ulcer in 2002. It was H-Pylori in my stomach. I took prevacid and triple antibiotics treatment. The burning pain continues from my sternum to the back. I was force not to eat spicy, greasy, fruit, pop, caffeine and chocolate. It got worse in 2004. I got very sick for eating candy bars and corn. I am slowly losing weight from 135lbs to 115lbs. In 2005, I cannot tolerate most food. Food that contain milk, soy, caramel, high in sugar or fruits, food additives, rich or creamy sauce, hard or highly process food like bagel make me sick. I can only drink water.

Sometimes I had red dot and canker sores in my mouth after few minutes after eating. I feel confusing, irritating, bloating or gas with pain in the lower abdominal and sometimes with burning in the chest to the back after 1 hour lasting up to 6 hours of eating. Now, I am constipated along pain in my lower back and calf, sometimes burning in the anus. As result, I become more depress, anxiety and fatigue.

My blood test were normal. CAT scan show small cyst in the liver. I had mild thick folding and inflammation in the duodenum, stomach, and esophagus. Biopsy showed increase number of lymphocytes. 24 hr PH test were normal. All test were done in 2004.

I am eating more healthier now. I eat more rice, cook vegetable, and less fats or meat. I can drink warm water with small amount of fresh lemon or orange. This diet have help me feel less bloating and constipated. Probiotics, Omega Complex, and Ginger Tea is very helpful.

Can I have all this symptoms from gastritis or duodenitis? Or does it seem like my body is having allergic reaction or food intolerance? Is there any other conditions that might cause similar symptoms? I have seen couple doctors. One think IBS and anxiety. Others have no clues. I took several proton inhibitor for years with no result. I took antidepression and some anxiety for a month with some side effects, so I stop. It did not seem to help.

  • are you taking enough probiotics?Journal every meal and try to eat one item at a time, so you can figure out what foods are "offending" you.Rice is not very nutritious, you can replace it with boiled tubers/ roots.Yams, cauliflower, french beans, onions, brussels sprouts, carrots, stop internal inflammation. Try to eat as much as you can raw.Have you been taking vitamin C and extra vitamin E for your immune system?
