Hi -- My daughter is 7 and has been running a fever about three months. The fever is always around 100 with spikes to 102-103. Throughout this time the doctor has put her on different antibiotics, she has taken a ct scan -- thinking it was a sinus problem but it is not -- currently the doctor wants to do another scan of the neck area because there are swollen nodes and something else. They put her on a steroid and a different antibiotic and it is not helping. At first, they thought it might some virus but they can't seem to figure out what the problems is. Anyone with any thoughts please let me know --- I just want my daughter to be well and to find an answer of why she has been so sick!!!

  • What other symptoms does she have besides fever? Does she have nasal discharge, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, urinary problems, stomach pain, headaches....any of this or anything else? How is her diet? Does she eat? Has she lost weight? Does she also have chills or does she just have the fever? If she has been on many doses of antibiotics, then you need to get her on a good quality children's probiotic ASAP. This is the first thing I would do. DOM

  • If the dr hasn't ordered it yet, get CBC (complete blood count) done... help rule out leukemia. Also check for lymphoma.

  • Please do not listen to anything Shula or Acuann tell you. My sister just passed away because Shula and Acuann told her that her doctor was wrong and she did not have a serious condition. Acuann even told her to get acupuncture to get healed. These people are going to be investigated for practicing medicine without a license. Shula and Acuann are specifically wanted in connection with my sisters homocide. Thats right homocide. If she would have listened to her doctor instead of these internet quacks she would still be here today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to put these two behind bars and shut this website down for good.

  • That is soo sad. I am sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately with freedom of speech and the constitution we cannot stop folks like Acuann and Shula from pretending to be doctors on the internet. Hopefully a nice long stint in prison will teach them and others like them how serious practicing medicine in states where you aren't licensed really is.
