I had frozen shoulder in 2004 ( left) and after weeks of PT, finally had MUA. If worked well and within weeks was back to normal. Right shoulder began stiff / pain in Jan 2008. Had MUA in early Sept; however, this time very little results and pain is getting WORSE not better. Still in PT 3 days a week. Living off of Ibuprofen and Vicodin. Dr says "just wait it out" There must be a better way !!! Has anyone been thru something similar? One concern is an MRI was never done; only Xray. Same Ortho Doc as 2004, so he said this must be same thing????

  • I would stop the P.T. and insist on an MRI of the shoulder. The ortho just assuming that it is "frozen shoulder " again is ill advised. Also, check yourself to see if there is any correlation of the shoulder pain with neck position or neck movement, as sometimes a disc problem in the neck can manifest as deep shoulder pain. Good luck .

  • I agree with NVRS on this one cus same thing happened to me with the physio thing...in time it came back. I believe mine is neck related also and especially its aggravated with too much time on puter, I have to support my shoulder all the time even when sitting on couch or car ride Good Luck hon As EvEr Cat
