The top of my left shoulder is very painful to touch. I am unable to move without severe stabbing pain in shoulder. And when I sleep, I can not sleep on my left side as the pain is extremely bad. Can only lift my arm half-way or less up. There is also a noticable dip on the top of my shoulder. The right side is perfectly straight (no dip). Any comments? Thanks, Linda

  • Obviously, consult a doctor first. However, I can tell you when I was having trouble with my shoulder (drumming; weight lifting), I got my doctor to prescribe me a topical pain gel. Mine was from A&R Pharmacy (http://www.anrpharmacy.com). I could have used pills, but I knew I wouldn't have been myself on them, nor would I full have been able to enjoy my day-to-day routine at my fullest ability. Nevertheless, I got this gel and it started working immediately. Also, anytime the pain increased or decreased, the pharmacist at A&R would work with my doctor and adjust the formula accordingly to get my pain back under control. For lack of a better word, they customize this GEL for MY SHOULDER. It was the answer to all my prayers and I'm glad I went to my doctor when I did.I hope this helps!!

  • My first thought - a broken bone. Please visit a doctor soon, because if you have a bone fracture or detached muscle or ligament and you leave it as it is, it may heal wrongly and you may suffer from lifelong disability. Seriously.

  • After my MRI, I am told that I my bicep tendon tore away from my shoulder and I have 3 different rotator cuff injuries. Surgery is scheduled for, believe it or not, halloween. Thanks for your responses.
