I think the best way to explain this is to illustrate my current situation:

I started University away from home in September, and shortly after went on a low carb diet with calorie restriction, whilst still doing a lot of exercise.

I started developing Mood Swings throughout. There was a trigger event. I would feel depressed, anxious, worried about my future etc. This only happened when I was on my own. In company of people I liked I would be fine, and it only happened at night.

At onset of these symptoms I decided to come off the low carb diet. I have been eating normally for 1 1/2 months now, and it appears that my metabolism is low. I can only eat around 2200Kcal a day, and I workout everyday. I am 19 years old, male and 75kg. I am still having the mood swings.

The final symptom is that on my 3 week holiday I was basically inactive all the time. I have lost muscle in my legs and noticed a change of sensation in my legs. Is this normal for inactivity of only 3 weeks?

Is all this due to the diet I went on? Or physcosomatic effects of my mood swings? Linked? Anxiety?

Thank you for your time
