a few weeks ago my left big toe became sore, tender is more like it, and affected my walking so that I limped a little. I don't remember any trauma caused to it. That soreness went away followed by what feels like a stinging snap. It comes and goes but will occur most often when I "crack" my big toe, much like one cracks his knuckels. I don't crack it with my hands, I just simply bend it down then back up. I've done this for years with no stinging involved. It's almost like a tendon is snapping back into place across the top of my big toe. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? thanks.
