Okay for a number of months now, I think 6-7, I have had a twitches throughout my body. It started as a twitch in my shoulders/neck that causes them to spasm forward. It started in the left, then moved to the right, and then both. It calmed down, and now doesn't happen that often. The next twitch/spasm was in my neck, I guess, and it would cause my head to turn to the left very quickly. A few weeks ago I got a severe tremor in my right hand, and I could barely do anything with it. The tremor only last for 5-10 mins, but it was intense. My legs used to have an ocasional twitch, only happening at random times, like everyone else does, and it was never a bother. Now, only when my legs are relaxed, I get twitches in my legs (left mostly) everyday. It happens dozens of times an hour. It mostly affects the upper calf and knee, but it won't stop. Another thing, my upper arms shake when I have my arms bent. It doesn't affect my hand, but it does make my speech bumpy, like I'm driving on a rock road. Please Help, I have no idea what's going on. Anything would be appreciated. -Khaley.

  • You may need to go and see a neurologist.. i wouldnt be ignoring symptoms such as that. First of all thou.. are you on any medications eg anti-depressants etc. Some meds may cause twitching, shaking

  • I have something similar I guess. The most common and annoying twitch I have would be the one in my neck, which will cause my head to sharply move forward... more like my chin to my chest type motion. This is a very annoying sensation and I really cant stand living with it much longer =(Besides that My (mostly) Right wrist likes to twitch in a "palm toward body" type motion. This on rare occasion can make me spill a drink or possibly even screw up a motion while playing street fighter in an arcade. -_-... Don't take this lightly because I mention a video gameNeurologist though? I'll definitely remember that when I next see my doctor!btw, I think this may have been caused by a 26 hour holding period when I was put into a Jail cell (Of course I was wrongfully accused, and got off 100% free with no negative records). During the 23rd hour I believe is when the Head twitching began =(. A man across from me noticed it and said "Are you okay man? go wash ur face with some cold water". This may in fact have all been caused by a stressful situation... even though I was not at all feeling stressed while I was in the cell. Perhaps it was a claustrophobic type reaction? (The cell was rather large actually, and I do not suffer from any form of claustrophobia).

  • You may want to try looking up dyskinesia which might shed some light.

You can easily take a good magnesium supplement like Calm which can only cause diarrhea if you take too much. Other than that, you should get a hair analysis from a good lab like traceelements.com to find out what deficiencies you have that could cause this. Good luck.

I think you'll find Magnesium as well as calcium, potassium, sodium and b vitamins will help. Also, tell your doc to give you b12 injections. I wish i could say these things have cured me, but they havent. Perhaps i just have to keep going. Ive only just increased my calcium 3 months ago and that helped a lot. I know it takes some time if you are deficient so it can easily be 6 months before the symtoms subside.Good luck

  • I've been having a simular problem thats been happenning for as long as I can remember. I randomly get... I guess the best way to describe it would be a feeling like chills running down my spine. I used to think that was what it was but I kind of noticed that when my sisters or my mom get "chills running down your spine" sensation, they don't do what I do when I have that feeling. When I get the "Chills down my spine" my whole upper back shakes a bit. I'm not if it's got to do with me being alot smaller than my sisters, making it more noticable, or if it's because somethings wrong with me. Then only reason I'm worrying about it more NOW is because I had one of those feelings in the bathtub and my shoulders hit the sides of the bathtub, causing one of them to get bruised which made me think about what would happen if I hit my head on accident having this shaking thing in the bath's tub. Whats wrong with me?
