I am so glad to have found you guys. I am desperately looking for a solution. I am hoping someone can help me. I am 19 years old and this has been happening since about I believe late April or May of 09’. It starts as nausea and eventually progresses to severe stomach pain. The first time it happened I just figured it was some crazy one time thing and life went on but it happened again and then again and so on. I am really tired of it and so desperately want to find a solution for it. I have tried to link them to find out the common cause but I can’t find anything that would cause it. There is no food or activity that I can relate. I am sometimes on my cycle when it happens and sometimes not so that’s not it. I am definitely not the healthiest person there is and I do drink soda so I guess that might be the link but I don’t truly think it is. It starts out as light nausea and then progressively gets worse. I get queasy quite a lot so when it first happens I don’t normally think it’s turning into this unknown horror. It’s then all of a sudden severe sickness and pain in my lower stomach. It’s below my belly button at like my waste line and all the way down the rest of my stomach. The stomach pain is like a tightness like your pants elastic in the waist is really tight along with a pain like someone continuously punching me in the stomach. It’s so severe that I can barely move. I end up getting sick about every 5-10 minutes for the whole duration and about halfway through the duration of this I end up having extreme diarrhea a few times. I find that if I lay on my one side the pain is worse but the nausea is less and if I lay the opposite way it reversed. This normally lasts for about 4-5 hours and is complete misery and the only way it goes away is finally passing out for awhile but the problem is with me getting sick every 5 minutes and with the pain it is nearly impossible to fall asleep it normally takes about 4 hours to do so. Even after I wake up and if it’s gone it’s a light pain the rest of the day and I am just wiped! I normally fill up lots of liquids and soup since my stomach is now empty and so very fragile but it only partly helps. It originally occurred like every other month but it has got to the point it’s about every 3 weeks. It’s totally unexpected and lucky I have been home during all of them but I have ended missing school days because of it and I afraid it’s going to happen during school one time and that’s not going to be a pretty sight. I only have a few months left so hopefully this won’t occur. My mother keeps telling me to go to the ER when it happens and I know I should but that’s easier said than done. Since I can barely move during it and with the continues vomiting there is no way for me to actually get there and with stand waiting for someone to see me. I just really want to find out what’s going on…I can’t take it anymore…I believe I have a somewhat good tolerance for pain but this the most extreme pain I have ever felt and I just feel like curling up and dying during this mystery occurrence.
Here’s some other information that I am not sure if is helpful.
I am 4’11 and have a tiny frame.
I also have recently started getting severe loud stomach gurgling and other noises. Those don’t seem to have a rhyme or reason either. It’s a couple times a day and random points…esp in my quiet music app. Class. The chick next to me looks at me like I am crazy when it starts acting up. It goes on for up to a half hour or so. It also feels like something is moving inside me. It doesn’t hurt thankfully but it does feel quite awkward but I really wish to silent these sounds…it can be quite embarrassing. It sounds like a monster lives inside me…people look at me when it happens like I haven’t ate in a week or something and rarely I am even remotely hungry when it happens.
I really hope someone can help me find out why and how I can stop this. Sorry if these details were a “TMI” moment I thought if I gave more details it would help find a solution.
Thank you a million!!!
