The pain in my shoulders started 3 weeks ago. I am a 36 year old in relatively good health and until a year and a half ago, very active and fit. I woke up one morning beginning of November to severe shoulder pain (left). Thought it would go away and it didn't. I had an MRI taken of both shoulders which indicated tendonitis and bursitis. My concern is that there was no precipitating event to cause the injury; I am now having joint and muscle pain throughout my body. My joints are cracking all the time. My muscles are on fire. I am in so much pain. The only thing that has helped somewhat are corticosteriods. NSAIDs and other pain killers do not touch the pain. I have had similar problems in the pes anserine tendon (left knee) for the past 1 and 1/2 years although no where near as painful. Went to a rheumatologist today. Got very little help. Didn't suggest any other tests. Also was on Celexa and Chantix (smoking cessation) when all this mess occurred. Have been off all meds other than prednisone. Any thoughts or suggestions as to what I should do next?:confused:Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
