My symptoms started in 9/05. I drank a cold Coke and it hurt my throat going down. From then on, it has progressed. The cold aches my esophagus and hurts all the way down. Cold drinks hurt the inside of my mouth. Washing my hands in cold water hurts. If I am walking on the cold floor, the cold hurts my feet and I have to put shoes on. If the air conditioning in the car is blowing full strength anywhere on my body, it aches. It is horrible!!! Someone told me that there was an Oprah show on this very thing, but I had missed it. I just want to find out what this is. I have been checked for thyroid, and that was ruled out. It has been two years now this September. Please help if you can with any suggestions. I had asked one doctor, and she had no idea of what to tell me, or where I should go to find anything out.

  • I wish i could help you. My best advice would be to search Oprah's website or there is a doctor called Dr. Oz that she features on the show and you can e-mail him with your questions he may be able to help you.

  • Hi , Have you looked into http://www.raynauds.org/ Raynaud's Association. There are different levels of the problem. Some just have cold hands or feet, but others are affected more. It can be a symptom of something else, auto -immune related . It could be your your blood is thick and not circulating very well, like vasculitis. Just a few thoughts for you to look into. Good luck~~ Jersey Lymie

  • I've seen a list of all the things that coke can be used for, such as: to clean your car battery or toilet...makes you wonder what it did as it went down your throat..I would try to regain the damaged tissue with acupuncture and soothing herbs.
