I am experiencing the worst health of my 57 years of life. Hot flashes, flushing are overtaking me. I started out having them once a week, etc.
Now, they are at least 5 to 8 times a day (and night). I constantly use ice, ice, ice and cold showers.
I have had the appropriate tests - thyroid, hormones, etc.
I am past menopause. My doctor has yet to prescribe anything to help.
Any info would be greatly appreciated

  • Estrogen replacement is a *very* contentious subject these days, which may be why your doctor is reluctant to put you on it. Meanwhile, check this out: http://www.medpagetoday.com/Endocrinology/Menopause/6542
