I was diagnosed with ms 8 years ago, at that time i woke up with severe eye pain and double vision. They thought at first I had had a migraine related stroke but when I went to the hospital they did MRI's and spinal taps and determined I had ms. They also diagnosed me with 6th nerve palsy. I have had severe, severe eye pain ever since and all of the physicians in Shreveport, LA where I live kept saying that in was in my head and that there would be no reason to be suffering from eye pain. Well here it is eight years later and the pain is getting worse. I went to an eye specialist at a ms clinic in Houston and she said that I probably did have optic neuritis at one time but that there is no way it would still be causing me pain. I have been to every specialist I can think of and I think they think I'm just nuts. I have a history of migraines but these are not migraines, my eyes kill me 24/7, I have spasms in my eyes, I have these episodes that are like strobe lights going off in my head. Doctors do not do anything, they say it might be related to ms, might not. But this doesn't no me any good. I know there is something wrong, it is ruining my life. What do I do?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
