Lately I have definitely been feeling that something is wrong. Within the last few weeks I have had the strangest symptoms happening... I've had headaches at the front of my head, which I don't know that I've ever actually had before (maybe I need glasses? I don't know) but this was accompanied by a loss of appetite, and when I did attempt to eat I could not eat much at all. I felt bloated and nauseous when I did eat anything, and then came the diahrea. I thought that I had maybe had some sort of virus. Then came the severe chest pain that woke me up in the middle of the night. It lasted for about a half an hour... it was a burning/pressure feeling in the very center of my chest. It made breathing difficult as it was extremely painful... this of course sent me into an anxiety attack which just made the pain and tightness worse. The doctor thinks that the chest pain is acid reflux. I have never experienced pain like that before and do not frequently get heartburn, though it has happened on occasion. These symptoms just have me a little freaked out and I wanted to get another opinion. If anyone could offer any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks!

  • Hi,I have no medical experience just personal experience with stomach infections. All your symptoms sound ALOT alike the ones I had when I was battling my stomach infections. It was painful and I ended up switching doctors before getting diagnosed. I remember having these syptoms when I was really young five maybe? My doctor at the time kept telling my parents it was nothing. Just before christmas 2006 at age 23 I was told it was stomach infection by my new doctor and that I had an ulcer starting from it going untreated. Don't quote me on it but if I remember correctly, they tested by an ultra sound, or one you got to drink this awful tasting stuff and they take x rays.Ask your doctor about stomach infection...............hope I helped and good luck.

  • In the mean time, follow all the physical suggestions for GERD. Raise the head of your bed, don't eat before meals, no booze, sleep on your left side, undo tight clothing, (like a bra), lose weight etc.
