I am a 20 year old female with what appears to be a severe ulcer in my mouth that has been there for 2 weeks. It is located on the inside of my lip. It started out small but has grown to be atleast half an inch and has a white layer over it. It also swells at night to the maximum and the swelling does not go completely down even with me treating it. I have been using warm salt water for the ulcer and motrin and ice for the swelling. Why is it swelling at night and why isn't the ulcer getting any better. I have also never had canker sores or ulcers except when I had braces.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
