I injured my knee in feb 2008 and since i had 2 meniscusectomies and one bursectomyand now i have severe mid back, lower back and butt pain. The pain shoots down my leg to my toes when i move. I have done pt for about 6 months and i am now worse off than when i started. The pain mgmt dr has me on neurontin and that seems to be making the symptoms worse. I can not sit straight up from a lying position, i have to roll out of bed because of the back pain.:( what could be causing the back and butt pain? Pls help, i'm desperate!!

  • The pain mgmt dr has me on neurontin You don't need a pain management doctor - you need a neurologist.....

  • I had similar pain and could not stand for the pain shooting down my leg.In the end after two weeks bed rest I visited an osteopath. I was carried in and I walked out.He said it was a partially slipped disc protruding on the nerves and he did a a manoever that popped it back in.it was a miracle.Good luck. I hope you are cured as easily as I was.
