WELL I JUST WROTE THIS ONCE AND IT DISAPPEARED... SO LETS TRY IT AGAIN? :) I AM A 61 YEAR OLD MALE WHO IS IN PRETTY GOOD HEALTH..UNTIL A COUPLE MONTHS AGO WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I COULD BARELY USE MY LEFT ARM ... IF I LIFT IT ABOVE MY WAIST OR PUT ANY STRAIN ON IT (OR BUMP IT) IT CAUSES EXCRUTIATING PAIN TO JUSTTHE LEFT BICEP MUSCLE ! NOT ABOVE THE SHOLDER NOR BELOW THE ELBOW. THEN THE PAIN WILL USUALLY LINGER FOR A WHILE JUST UNDER THE TOP OF THE SHOULDER ON THE OUTWARD EDGE. I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT MY DOC WITHOUT YET AN XRAY THINKS IT A ROTATOR -CUFF PROBLEM .... BUT THE PAIN DOES NOT SEEM TO MATCH UP WITH THAT DIAGNOSES TO ME..... XRAYS ARE SCHEDULED IN THE FUTURE ... BUT HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM?FIBROMYALGIA HAS BEEN SUGGESTED ..BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO FIT THOSE SYMPTOMS EITHER.. BUT IT ALSO SOUNDS LIKE THOSE CAN BE VERY ELUSIVE. ANYBODY EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM OR KNOW OF IT ? PLEASE HELP...IT CAN BE A VERY DEBILITATING AND NAGGING MALADY... THANK YOU .....

  • Gee, if I were that doc I would have ordered an xray of the humerus for bone problems or possibly a fracture of the head of the humerus.
