On June 10 of this year i began throwing up, we figured it was just a stomach bug, now 55 days later I have had ultrasound, x-rays, CT scan, gastroscopy, and multiple blood work which all came back negative.

I have lost 12 pounds, been having fainting spells and severe abdominal pain. The pain starts just right of my navel and moves down and across my abdomen always on the right. Palpitation of my abdomen results in extreme pain in 2 distinct spots: 1 inch to the right of my navel and 2 inches right, 2 inches down from my navel. No pain on the left side at all.

The only connection I can make is that when I eat foods containing gluten the pain is more severe. My doc is completely against testing for celiac, he does not believe there is any connection.

Background:
I am a 37 year old mother of 3. We cook all natural foods, no packaging, no preservatives, get the local CSA (we live in the country). 3 years ago I went vegetarian because if I consumed animal protein I would be constipated (sometimes only having a bowel movement once a week). Becoming vegetarian completely freed me of migraines which I had been experiencing since childhood (not one in the last 3 years). I have never smoked, tried drugs or consumed large amounts of alcohol.
I am a yoga therapist and have a dedicated yoga & meditation practice. I am fit (run 5 Km every day + plus yoga)

Please if anyone can help!! I am going crazy not being able to be out and about with the kids.

  • My friend had the same symptoms. After many, many er visits it was confirmed today she has a carconoid tumor in her intestine. Not sure that's what you have but they are often misdiagnosed and overlooked.
