I was diagnosed two years ago with an auto immune disease , called EF
Eiosinio Faciitis. My muscle lining got infected and swelled so bad I could not move, and my forarms were hard like plastic. Lucky for me I found a Dr. Who hit it on the head and treated me with steriods. It is now in remission. However I now get these cramps that may start in my calves, and move to my back muscles around my chest and rib cage. Extremely painfull. I also had low vitamin D. I take fish oil, Vit D, Calcium you name it.
last month everything seemed pretty normal. Last night the pain was so bad i laid on the floor trying to stretch my body. Sometimes the stretching will cause maybe my left side to go crazy. In wrinting this post,i am getting slight spasams.
I don't know the answer, but i drink lots of water and try to keep moving.
I was very athletic up to the time the EF got me. Now my exercise includes treding water in my pool five minutes at atime to get some muscle activity back, since I can no longer run.
It is very frustrating. I have been given Mataxalone which is a mild muscle relaxer. It works most of the time, but yesterday i took two and it helped, butnever completely went away.
