ok i got have an itchy symetrical red rash in my groin area , where the schrotom meets the leg on each side of the groin area at those creases where the groin meets the legs there is a symetrical rash(looks the same on both sides and is in the same spot on both sides) and then on the crease on each buttock(also symetrical on each side). I notice if i scratch it whitish flakes will come off the skin. There are no bumps. Just redness and serious itching+ the flakes of skin, the rash on the buttocks feels sort of like sunburn when i sit down it really does not itch, just burns. The rash in the groin area itches like all ***l. I have no diseases or conditions in my past. Havnt had sexual intercourse since march 06.( so pretty sure it is not an STD). I thought maybe it could be herpes but there is no bumps and does herpes present itself like this symetrical rashes with no bumps? (because i did have quite a few sexual partners in march also lol) and havnt had the chance to get tested for any STD's. Keep in mind the living conditions where i am( the city of Ramadi, Camp Corregidor, Combat outpost north ) are not exactly sanitary. So what the ***l is this rash ? CHAFFING? FUNGUS? VIRAL? it hurts when i sit down that is the only real reason why i wanna know so bad, so i can get sum1 to send me whatever i need to cure this crap.
PLZ help
sincerly,
chris

  • I had a fungal infection once that sounds like this (it might have been ringworm). I probably picked it up from via my towel in a communal shower. It went away after I treated it with athlete's foot cream.

  • could be boils. they pop out in those areas.caused by a possible staph infection. if they are getting bigger and fill with pus, i am pretty sure thats what it is.the pain gets worse as they get bigger. cover with a clean pad and change them often.friction from clothes will spread them if you dont.use lots of peroxide or alchohol to clean until they go away. no meds work..sorry..but theres no danger or perm. damage if it is boils. pretty common really.thanks and good luck..

  • Sounds almost like a yeast/fungal infection. It can happen if you are in a hot area because of sweating or if living conditions aren't that great. With a yeast infection you can treat it with the same creams you use for athletes foot, lotrimin etc. However, i wouldn't put anything on it until you got a diagnosis. So it's important to try to find a doctor if possible.
