I bleed sporadically and the blood appears as traces in my discharge, or bigger flows overflows a pantyliner. There is no tissue breakdown within the blood thus it is not part of the menstral cycle. The blood appears dark brownish most times and there is a yellowish-brown watery discharge that spreads across the pantyliner. Overall i feel fine, but this bleeding is scaring me.. am i plagued with any rare disease. Please help. Thank you.

  • If you were my friend, I would pick you up and take you to the doctor. Excess bleeding is never a good sign, the other discharge is probably residual blood between bleeding and ususally women with Fibroid tumors and cysts experience these symptoms. You don't want to wait because cycts can very quickly become extremely painful and can be serious. A pap smear and sonogram should tell them whats going on.Also, a hormone test may be needed....make sure you have them take your blood first thing in the morning as the levels are more accurate then. Increased hormone levels can also cause these symptoms and can be related to thyroid problems. If they don't find anything. See your regular doctor and make sure you don't have any blood related imbalances such as anemia, etc.

  • Are you taking birth contol pills? IUD? Do you have irregular cycles? Painful periods? Do you bruise easily? How old are you? There are lots of possible causes for this, and I agree that you should go to a good gyno to get some tests. Best wishesDOM
