When my wife because pregnant just over a year ago she developed headaches. As the pregnancy progressed so did the headaches. Now 6 months after she gave birth she has the headaches every day along with new onset symptoms. We have tried everything we know to do but every doctor we see tells her she’s fine & nothing’s really wrong.

SYMPTOMS: Chronic Daily Headaches, Abnormal EEG, New onset of Seizures (specific type unknown), Blurred Vision, Loss of Balance, Clumsiness, Slurred Speech, Tired/Sleeping a lot, Low Potassium, (SOMETIMES) Low Blood Pressure

Now with those symptoms I am not sure how any doctor can state that nothing is wrong. But after several doctors later here I sit at 5:30am still looking for an answer.:confused::confused:

Despite what they say about Lyme disease, it is not easy to diagnose and the testing is fatally flawed. Visit ILADS.org for the information on Lyme. I can cause all of your wife's symptoms.

  • She took the following Prenatal Vitamin during the pregnancy:http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10325013 She started getting the headaches about the 2 month of the pregnancy. Her OB said they were normal until she changed Doctors & they told her that the way she was having them was not, that they should not be that intense or last that long. About 2 months ago (end of August), she developed a new seizure onset (tonic-clonic to be exact, just found out today). Main Symptoms:1. Chronic Daily Headaches2. New Onset of Seizures (Tonic-Clonic)3. Blurred Vision4. Loss of Balance5. Low Potassium6. (Sometimes) Low Blood Pressure Current Medications:1. Fioricet 50/325/40 (Headache Management)2. Divalpreox SOD DR 500MG (Twice Daily - Seizure Management) ***I am aware that Fioricet is a barbiturate & that a withdrawal side-effect is seizures but medical withdrawal has been ruled out.

  • Pregnancy is a hypercoagulable state which means that women who are pregnant have an increased tendency to form blood clots. It is possible that your wife had a minor stroke whilst she was pregnant which would explain her symptoms.
