If there are any specialists out there, please help. After trying everything, laxatives, fiber, diets, exercise, and counceling for 37 years, I finally demanded and got the tests I needed; colonoscopy= normal, manometry= abnormal, and RECTAL ANAL INHIBITORY REFLEX COMPLETELY MISSING, full thickness biopsy= ganglion cells present.

I don't have HD, but I have no RAIR. Please help, is surgery the answer? Don't tell me to eat more fiber, it doesn't work. I am slender, eat well, exercise, but if I don't give my self enema, my bowel will swell up for weeks until I get sick. When i couldn't give myself enema I went for 4 weeks without a movement.

Help me, I am too young to die of damaged bowel...Thank you for your help.:(
