I can remember as a small child (5 yrs old) and my experience in going to kindergarten. I THINK I may have had separation anxiety - although 55 years ago it certainly wasn't diagnosed.
I remember crying EVERY SINGLE DAY throughout kindergarted and even partially into first grade because I just didnt want to go to school.
I would get an uneasy 'empty' kind of feeling.
Today, I STILL get the same feeling when leaving the house to go to work, especially in the fall, when it's cool in the morning. I get a 'flashback' of walking to school (and not wanting to go). Fortunately, as an adult, the feeling passes quickly.
Any remedyfor this? Anyone have the same experience?
