Hello My names Tony for the last 3 years I've had a persistent sensory nerve problems around area's of my body (Head, Right leg ect) I've also been getting a Brain fog type of feeling which won't seem to go away :( I've had a MRI which came back normal (Brain, Spine) I have also done a Nerve conduction test and EMG which came back that I had sensory nerve problems.
Also did aload of blood tests which was all normal except that I had Iron Anemia. I'm in good shape I don't smoke or drink and I'm in my 20's so I'm confused why this is happaning to me. Any advice would be appreciated PS It seems to spread so I'm guessing it could be a disease?.

Cheers in Advance

  • Perhaps shingles...or something in the herpes family..you don't need to break out to have it.

  • I think you can get sensory neuropathy, iron deficiency anemia, and brain fog with celiac disease. You can have silent celiac where you don't have the GI manifestations, just the other things. Not sure if this is useful or not.Best Wishes

  • It could be a genetic metabolic disorder/disease such as porphyria. Except... you don't have abdominal pain and most porphyria folks have abdominal pain. So maybe some other metabolic disease and possibly genetic. Could be auto-immune or other sort of illness. You have no abdominal pains at all then? The iron deficiency anemia needs a cause to be found.Consult a hematologist perhaps? Maybe go to the local medical school and get a full workup. Maybe your diet? Are you a vegetarian? What medications are you on?Are you exposed to toxins, heavy metals? quote=TonyBir16;87576]Hello My names Tony for the last 3 years I've had a persistent sensory nerve problems around area's of my body (Head, Right leg ect) I've also been getting a Brain fog type of feeling which won't seem to go away :( I've had a MRI which came back normal (Brain, Spine) I have also done a Nerve conduction test and EMG which came back that I had sensory nerve problems. Also did aload of blood tests which was all normal except that I had Iron Anemia. • I do not any abdominal pain, Only pain I have is sometimes in my temples of my head, Genetic Disease maybe unlikely seeing as most of my family are very healthy and have no medical problems like this. Yes I am a Vegetarian, So I don't have much Iron in my Diet which was probably the cause of the Anemia. My diet sucks I've been taking Multivitamin pills for the last 6 months without no improvement to my problem's. I was thinking it could a Thyroid problem like Hypothyroidism but I'm not sure that causes sensory nerve problems.

  • Use a healthy diet -- plenty of antioxidants like berries (blueberries, strawberries, etc) and richly colored vegetables, especially broccoli, kale, collards, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, etc and avoid sugar cane-based sugar, white flour, wheat products. It could be that your immune system is giving you a lot of the trouble you're having. So cleansing via fruits/vegetables and healthy fats, like olive oil, omega 3's from fish, and avocados, may be a fundamental step to take. Be sure you're getting enough of vitamins D3, C and B complex and resveratrol, not to mention a healthy supply of minerals, like selinium, calcium and postassium. I am not a nutritionist nor medical doctor, but have done a lot of research as a clinical psychologist and interested consumer in health for the long term. Also, check out lef.org for more help/consultation. All the best.
