Hi!
Im tired of the "symptom rx treaters"
I need answers!!

I was diagnosed 1 yr ago with comples partial seizures and chronic migraines. Im currently on a migraine prevention and seizure medication.
Lately my blood pressure has been lower than normal, Im exttreeemley fatigued to where I can fall asleep anywhere/anytime. I got a metallic taste in my mouth most of the time. Leaking clear fluid out of my nose. My hands are very cold. I also have had more eye problems. (as I wear contacts and glasses, but eyes have been extremely irritated to where I cant wear my contacts for months, Eye Dr. has no clue of why..)
My Dr. lowered my dosage on my migraine preventative to see if its the cause of the lowering blood pressure, which brought back my migraines immediately. I have also have a couple of small seizures lately, which hasnt happened in months. So he might increase the dosage on that medication.
All of these symptoms HAS to have a causing problem. I dont really get answers, just more meds to cover up the symptoms.

Any ideas?????

Thanks!!!

  • With the clear fluid leaking out of your nose, the metallic taste and headaches, it sounds like you may have a Cerebrospinal fluid leak. The spinal fluid has a metallic taste. With Wrongdiagnosis symptom checker using the leak and seizures led to 2 possible causes, traumatic brain injury or Meningoencephalocele.

Although this dripping may be from the sinuses, it's possible that there's a slow leak somewhere in the brain covering, and the fluid is from this.I've read that one of the ways to test for this, is to test the fluid for glucose. Cerebral spinal fluid will have glucose in it, whereas mucous from the sinuses will not. They can use the dipsticks that they use to test urine for glucose, which every doctor's office uses.If this information is not correct, your doctor should know what to do to test it.Also, thank you for not using those RX checkers, as they are wrong 99% of the time. Reviewing your symptoms actually brings me to the conclusion that your medication is a factor with your current symptoms (especially your eye symptoms). Maybe the doctor should reevaluate your situation, and possibly try different migraine/seizure medications to see if your symptoms resolve.Feel better and take care.
