Hello, I had my uterus removed 4 weeks ago..about 2 weeks ago i started experiening a sharp, hot, stabbing and sometimes just aching pain in my left side across from my navel. I told the GYN when i went in and he said it would go away.2 weeks later it is 10 times worse and i am eating darvocet like candy. I can't walk , get up from a laying position or straighten completely up without this aggravating the situation. I have had ovarian cysts removed and ruptured in the past so i know what that feels like. This IS NOT the same thing. They did a Cat Scan and all this GYN said was there was a cyst on the left ovary(was there before surgery also) and that in 4 weeks we should possibly remove it(The ovary that is). I am so angry and confused. The pain is excruciating at times. is there anyone out there that has had this happen?Any ideas? All help is appreciated. thanks for this site and your time! God bless and merry Christmas to you all!Anxiously waiting responses! By the way..I am 39..if that matters.

  • Hello RattyMom, I am brand new to this site, so hope I post this right. Oh my dear...my heart goes out to you. I hope to use this site also - hope itworks for me to get help too. In response and help to you...first of all - I would go get a 2ndopinion - right away. You may love your GYN (as I did too),but trust me, you need to go to someone else to get this checkedout. I wish I would have before my hyst. even. I had a hyst.due to fibroids and have had problems ever since. I had anabdominal hyst. - did you or was it vaginal? I do not knowenough about why you had it done and where, but again...my best advice would be to see someone else to get thischecked out. Check with your friends who they mightrecommend to see. I experienced the same symptoms you have right now. I amstill trying to figure it out, but I feel due to adhesions andperhaps an infection. Remember, this is YOUR BODY.You are entitled to know answers to this major part of it.Good luck and I will be anxious to hear.
