my son has a severe cough , he coughs so hard he throws up , it starts as a tickle especially in stores ,after a bad cough he noticed swelling on his neck , and a little bump, dr did x ray said he saw something up high lungs are fine , said it could be lymphoma or something not serious ct scan not back yet ,what is the something not serious? he is a casual smoker

  • Has your son been tested for asthma? Sounds like he might need a methacholine challenge test to determine if he is asthmatic...this can often cause coughing to the point of vomiting, and can be a very serious disease. An allergy & asthma specialist can order this test.
