Its been 16 mnths of suffering. I had three viral infections one per month the beginning of 2006, after the last one bronchitis, I developed a sore scalp on top of the head, moving hair hurt. It got worse as time went on and I went on the birth control pill assuming it was hormonal or genetic female hair loss. The pain worsened and spread to the back nape of myhead. I have lost so much hair I will soon be wearing a partial wig. I have had every test under the moon for cancer, lupus, arthitis, thyroid, full blood panels and nothing is showing up, nobody can help me. The pain at times get so bad I get a headache, my neck gets stiff and I get sick like I have the flu. I am on elavil for the pain it helps alittle, but the pain is violent at times like 20 bee stings, no real scalp changes only a pink hue from time to time. Anyone out there who had this and it went away? What the heck is it? 9 doctors later and no answers!
