Ringing in ears after nasal irrigation

A week ago, I tried nasal irrigation by putting water and salt in a cup and snorting it up my nose to rinse out my sinuses. I've had non-stop ringing in my ears ever since. I read that fluid in the ears can cause this but I don't feel any water in my ears. Anyone have any ideas what could cause this? What can I do to get the ringing in my ears to stop?

  • I think you nailed it-- you have water in your ear canals, and no, you would not necessarily feel it. I think you have have done irrigation the wrong way. No snorting involved, as I understand it.
